I was going to wait until the first day of June to post this, but I just couldn’t wait, I thought this DIY Father’s Day card was so cute not to post yet. I think this would be such a cute project to do with your kids, I don’t have any kids, but I love coming up with cute and fun craft ideas for kids!
3 different pieces of scrapbook paper, I choose 3 that compliment each other
Scissors, glue stick, different letter stickers, or whatever else you want to add to the front!
Step 1: Trace your hand around 2 of the scrapbook papers (the 2 that you want to be the hands)
Step 2: Cut a thick piece of paper from your 3rd paper, and then fold it multiple times
Step 3: Take your 2 hands you traced and cut, and glue each end of the paper you folded to the middle part of each hand.
Step 4: Add your letters and stickers make it fun and unique, use what you have, you can go simple like I did, or you can add glitter, draw on it, or anything you want!
What kind of arts and crafts do you do in honor of fathers day? Link your posts below or link them when you add them!
I have been going crazy online window shopping, and every website I go on, I am seeing collars everywhere, especially collars with lace and embellishments! I LOVE THIS TREND….. It’s very girly, feminine, but also edgy and unqiue! All the shirts below I found on Forever 21, but there are so many websites that also have collared shirts such as Zara, and Piperlime, to name a couple.
What do you think of this trend, love it, or are you going to pass?
This DIY is pretty self explanatory, and pretty much free, however, I did have to buy some hair clips, because I had really bobby pins that were really small and hard to paint, so I found this pack of 12 black hair clips at the dollar store, so this project only costed me $1, I had all the nail polish on hand!
I did 2 coats of fun summer nail polish colors, let them dry and they are ready to be worn! Just a fun spin to add some color to your hair accessories if you already have these items on hand!
Use opaque colors or creamy nail polishes, the blue color I used because it was not opaque did not come out as great because you can still see the black showing through, but I just went ahead and did a 3 coat on that one!
Nail polish storage has always been very bland for me, I just stick it in a sterlite storage bin, and it’s out of sight out of mind, but I like to look at my nail polish or I wont look at it, so I was trying to find a new way to store it, I like for my nail polish to be standing up so the polish doesn’t settle and ruin. This was a hard task without spending a fortune on a nail polish rack, I came across this super cute blue distressed shelve while taking the garbage out, I’m assuming someone was just going to through it away, but it was in perfect shape so I snacthed it, and hung it on my bathroom wall forever ago with nothing in it, and today I had the brillant idea to put my nail polish on it!
So I had the
perfect plan, I wanted to put a row of nail polish on each shelve however, I did not realize how much nail polish I had, lets just say way to many to only have 3 rows, as I actually ended up needing 6 rows. I re did my organizing about times before I liked the way it looked and decided it was fine the way it was.
This storage probably won’t last very long since I am always changing the way I organize things, but for now this works great, I like they are all standing up, that I can see each color, and they all have a place.
How do you store your nail polish? Leave your posts and comments below I love reading them!
The peplum trend has become ever so popular, and all over the runway.depending on your body type this style can be hard to pull off, if you go for a top that defines your wasit like the top above, it’s more of a subtle peplum, but it looks great without going to far if your a little scared of the trend or it may be too much.
Tips to make this trend work:
Defining your waist is what the peplum trend is meant to do, when wearing a peplum shirt make sure the top of the peplum hits your waist line, or you can always add a skinny belt to define your waist!
A peplum creates volume, so when your wearing a peplum dress, shirt or skirt, make sure to keep the rest of your outfit slimming!
This trend can be worn many different ways wether it be with shirts, skirts or dresses, however, try to keep to one, but play around with different colors, and patterns. My favorite way is with shirts, and a pair of dark skinny capris or jeans!
I love the outfit above I put together to show how you can make it work, but still be subtle!
Is this a trend you are willing to try, or have tried, or are you going to skip out?
